7th iCIIT Conclave 2026
from Vibe Coding to
Agentic Engineering
Establishing Rigor in AI-Native Workflows
Bringing together practitioners, researchers, academics and learners to explore the next evolution of AI development.
Welcome to iCIIT Conclave 2026
The IIT Conclave is organised annually to highlight emerging trends in the digital and computing landscape. Following the success of our previous conclaves, which brought together academics, students and industry professionals to explore new developments in AI and digital innovation, we reconvene in 2026 to focus on a new paradigm emerging in the AI development ecosystem.
The rapid adoption of generative AI tools has enabled developers to build applications through experimental interactions with AI systems. This approach, commonly referred to as “vibe coding”, allows rapid prototyping and creative exploration of ideas. However, while such experimentation accelerates innovation, it also raises questions about engineering rigour, reproducibility, evaluation and reliability in AI systems.
Our theme for this year, “from Vibe Coding to Agentic Engineering: Establishing Rigour in AI-Native Workflows”, reflects the need to move beyond experimentation and toward structured methodologies for developing AI-driven systems.
Through this conclave, we aim to explore how we can transition from informal AI experimentation to engineering-grade pipelines for designing, evaluating and deploying AI agents and AI-native applications.
We are committed to examining topics on agentic AI systems, autonomous workflows, human-AI collaboration, and structured approaches to building AI-driven solutions.
Our Focus
• Explore emerging paradigms in AI native software development.
• Examine strategies to transition from Vibe coding to Structured AI engineering practices.
• Encourage research on Agentic AI systems and autonomous workflows.
• Share insights from academics and industry experts.
• Foster collaboration among students, researchers and practitioners.
• Initiate discussion to develop methodologies and pipelines for AI agent development.
